Carpenter – Job Summary and Description

We are a Property Development company with multi-unit, residential developments in Wolfville and Kentville. We are looking for a Carpenter, with Finish carpentry experience to join our team. Framing experience would be an asset, but is not required. The Carpenter will report to our Project Manager, and will be a large part of our growing team. If you have experience in the field, especially with finish work in multi-family, residential buildings, this may be the position for you!

What your responsibilities will be:

• Reliably read and interpret blueprints to determine dimensions required
• Finsih work including tiles, flooring, cabinets, trim and baseboards.
• Accurately measure, cut, and shape lumber and other building materials
• Attach building materials using screws, nuts, bolts, etc.
• Performing repairs on existing framework structures that may be damaged
• Examine building materials to identify defects
• Analyze building plans to identify any potential structural problems
• Construct framework for buildings, as well as window frames, door frames, and staircases
• Keep a clean workspace to maintain a safe working environment
• Bring a positive attitude and show up on time each day
• Work as a team or as an individual
• Show respect for the worksite, co-workers, and the community
• Work with unexperienced coworkers, and teach them to assist as needed
