ROLE SUMMARY
The bookkeeper positively impacts company profit, improves administrative organization and execution, and provides sound financial guidance to the company’s leadership team inline with company growth strategies.
Responsible for carrying out day to day accounting functions. The role requires an ambitious and agile individual who has a keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills.
To be successful in this role you would be a self-starter who enjoys working independently and as part of a team. You would have a strong understanding of accounting principles and thrive in a fast-paced environment motivated to problem solve and eager to learn as the business grows and operational needs change. You will need to be highly organized, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Our relationships with our vendors is valuable and you will be incharge of AP.

Responsibilities
Bookkeeping
- Carefully evaluate invoices. Challenge unjustified charges. Save the company money.
- Entering and filing invoices into our digital filing system
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Government remittances
- Year end preparation for CPA
- Accounts Payable
- Managing cash flow
- Voucher invoices. Ensuring items are received at agreed upon pricing, maximizing terms, coordinating with receiver.
- Utilizing government support programs
- Extending terms with vendors
- Suggesting and implementing efficiencies in accounting operations
- Managing petty cash transactions
Administration
- Evaluating and improving company’s current administrative organization and operations
- Administering bi-weekly payroll for employees and contractors
- Professional external communication
- Documenting, evolving, and organizing company policy and/or procedure documents
