What will you do in this job?:

The role of the boathouse supervisor is to operate in a support role as to the daily operations at the boathouse. The supervisor will ensure the team provides exceptional hospitality through promoting and selling our products, along with delivering a safe, clean and professional boat rental experience. The supervisor position will support all facets of the boathouse operations working in conjunction with our retail dept. in a “hands-on” leading by example manner performing all daily roles along with their team.

• Provide ongoing support, coaching and instruction as needed to all boathouse team members motivating them to bring their best each day
• Ensure all boat rental fleet and accompanying equipment are in good condition and safe for operation
• Facilities are clean, organized and prepared for the day's operations including all fleet, equipment, retail and confectionary
• All components of the operations are fully and properly trained and documented including; safety, rental equipment, sales/cash handling and product knowledge/inventory management
• Ensure all safety and operational documentation is properly completed, filed and tracked on a daily basis
• Ensure all business reporting is accurate and kept up to date
• Oversee the daily management of all retail and confectionary product working with the retail leadership as to sufficient inventory levels, sales promotions, and product displays
• Schedule team members and maintain accurate daily timecards
• Performance manage boathouse team members, as necessary and complete seasonal performance reviews

What skills and experience do you need for this job?:

• Previous leadership and cash handling experience
• High attention to detail and good communication skills
• A strong hospitality focused approach with a natural ability to proactively listen and empathize with guests
• Mature, energetic, dependable and self-motivated team player with a high attention to detail
• Ability to take initiative and follow through on tasks needing attention
• Adaptable to a changing work environment and different tasks
• Enthusiastic and out-going personality, ability to use this to engage with guests
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office application
• A self -starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment. Be prepared for all season weather (snow, rain, wind, hail)
• Class 4 driver’s license (clean abstract) an asset
• Must meet the organization grooming and appearance standards
