JOB OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Applications Support, the Application Support Specialist (Finance) provides support and subject matter expertise to the finance team for our financial systems, which include Oracle NetSuite ERP, Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Services (PBCS) and EchoVera Intelligent Invoice OCR.

CCS is embarking on an exciting Digital Transformation to enhance our technology portfolio, leverage automation, and expand our digital capabilities to deliver a fully connected, intuitive, individually tailored and continuously evolving constituent experience.

This position will collaborate with end users and business stakeholders to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system and data issues. The Application Support Specialist will also be tasked with identifying and/or implementing improvements to our financial systems to streamline business processes. They will be responsible for working closely with our vendor partners on implementations and enhancements, or when troubleshooting issues.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Manages and triages incidents, conducts root cause analysis and develops/implements action plans for full issue resolution.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for financial systems and related application, data, and business processes.
  • Assist in identifying, evaluating, and recommending potential software applications, tools, or hardware solutions.
  • Responsible for developing Java-based modules including, but not limited to, automations, workflows, templates, views, dashboards, and reports.
  • Responsible for quality assurance and release management of upgrades/patches, along with related systems documentation
  • Provides administrative support to financial systems, including onboarding/offboarding of staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary degree in information management, computer science, or related field of study
  • Experience supporting enterprise financial systems, preferably Oracle NetSuite ERP, Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Services (PBCS) and EchoVera Intelligent Invoice OCR
  • Proficiency with Java programming and web development principles
  • Experience working within an ITIL-based service delivery model and/or understanding of industry standard Change Management, Incident Management, and Problem Management processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and ability to solve difficult problems in a timely manner while working across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with a strong focus on customer service
  • Bilingual (English and French) would be considered an asset
  • Knowledge about Salesforce, Finance processes, Business analysis and Project Management would be considered an asset.
