Administrative Assistant with potential of advancement to Financial Controller

Ability to provide administrative support to Executive officers and perform general office operations (i.e. clerical and receptionist duties, answer phones/emails, travel arrangements, mail distribution, filing, supply orders, multiple excel data base management and applications). Drafting and/or proof-reading outgoing correspondence / presentations and newsletters when required.

Strong organizational and information processing skills. Advanced written and verbal communication skills and possess a strong sense of confidentiality and diplomacy.

Financial Controller

· Billings, accounts payable/receivable

· Bi-Weekly Payroll, record of employment

· WSIB/HST/Receiver Generals/Employers Health Tax

· Per Capita Report and Remittances

· Deposits/petty cash/bank reconciliations

· Point of Sale systems, account allocation and expenditures

· Preparation of monthly/yearly financial statements for board meetings

· Perform month end/beginning to complete accounting cycle within time limits

· Provide advice to support decision making processes when required

· Yearly balancing and preparation of T4’s, efile summary upload to CRA

· Maintenance of general ledgers and chart of accounts

· Preparation of year end financials for auditor

· Year end adjusting entries.

· Assist with budgets when required

· Maintain contracts

· Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

· Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation, federal/provincial tax regulations

· Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures GAAP

· Assist in identifying and development of internal controls, policies and procedures.

Requirements and Skills:

3 year combined accounting / office experience

3 year Business Administration Accounting Program

PCP accreditation asset

Sage 50, Microsoft office suite, POS

Tight deadlines, attention to detail, dependability

Bilingualism asset but not required.

Start as soon as possible.
