Duties and Responsibilities:
The Administrative Assistant provides day-to-day administrative support to the Physical Plant by assisting with the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) FAMIS 360; providing customer service and project-related operations; developing and maintaining documentation, procedures, controls and standards to meet business directives; assigning tasks and tracking projects; providing customer and vendor coordination and communication; maintaining client and vendor accounts; maintaining webpages and time and attendance entries as required; providing mail services; ensuring procurement compliance following University policies; reporting capital and operating budgets; processing invoices, billings, and financial recoveries; and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate must have a minimum Grade 12 plus a one (1) year office administration certificate and three (3) years’ directly related experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience is required. Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and using databases is required. Webpage maintenance experience is considered a strong asset. The ideal candidate must model a blend of professionalism, accountability, detail‐orientation, integrity, consistency, and follow‐through on a range of support functions. The successful candidate will demonstrate their organizational and communication skills (oral and written). They will possess the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external customers. Being able to shift focus and work on multiple tasks effectively and efficiently is necessary in this fast-paced environment.
