Position: Accounting Clerk II (Accounts Receivable)

Location: District Headquarters - St. John’s (hybrid office/home a possibility)

Note: Consideration may be given to work from Labrador, Western or Central Regional Office

Job Status: Permanent Full-time (35 hrs/week)

Salary Scale: CG-26 ($23.13 - $25.60)

Note: Salary subject to an salary increases that result from current collective bargaining

Bargaining Unit Position - CUPE 1560

Supervisor: Reports to the Manager of Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable

Duties:

  • Prepare and post accounts receivable invoices for various revenue items

  • Completing excel reports for billing supporting documentation purposes

  • Preparing journal entries as necessary to correct account code posting errors

  • Regularly reviewing aged reports and collecting on accounts as necessary

  • Possibility of cross-training in accounts payable duties

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • A minimum 2 year diploma in Accounting or Business Administration/Management

  • 2 years experience in accounts receivable/accounting preferred

  • Strong background in computerized work environment

  • Proficiency in Excel considered an asset

  • Flexible schedule (start day anytime between 7:30-9:00 am)

  • Hybrid work setting is a possibility
