Job Title: Joint Venture Accountant, Operated ~ RQ 23-37 ~

TAQA North is currently searching for a Joint Venture Accountant, Operated. Reporting to the Supervisor, Operated Joint Venture Accounting, you will be responsible to ensure the prompt collection of Joint Interest Billings sent to TAQA’s partners. This position is based out of the Calgary downtown office.

Key Responsibilities:

You will provide support in the following:

• Oversee and act as liaison for assigned partner’s billings and accounts receivables
• Determine valid charges as well as netted amounts for monthly cheque runs
• Communicate with partner contacts regarding payments as well as resolving disputes
• Create entries in Qbyte to release appropriate balances as well as make correcting entries
• Utilize the AR Subledger, CS Explorer, and other applications to prioritize and manage disputes
• Collaborate with Land, Joint Ventures, Operations, Master Data, Production Accounting, and Non-Op Accounting to coordinate dispute resolution as well as correcting entries
• Create informal as well as formal reports to assess collection progress

Your Qualifications:

• 3+ years Operated Joint Venture accounting experience
• Solid accounting knowledge with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good working knowledge of PASC & PJVA standard agreements
• Ability to understand and identify specific obligations and remedies in agreements
• Strong computer background and excellent working knowledge of Microsoft products
• Experience with Qbyte, EnergyLINK (including AR Subledger), CS Land and Accumap
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to clearly communicate thoughts on complex issues
