Yacht Sales West is a Yacht dealership with offices on Granville Island and Sidney specializing in new and brokerage sales in both sail and power boats. Strong work ethics, top notch sales and after sales support are a vital component of the company.

We are looking for a full-time accountant/administrator to join our busy team. You thrive on variety, are well organized and can juggle five things at once. You would be joining a small, busy office with six staff.

Yacht Sales West is currently seeking an Accountant/Administrator with a thorough understanding of accounting and bookkeeping best practices. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and can work independently, but also enjoys collaborating with a variety of coworkers. The ideal candidate will enjoy a challenge and will have a commitment to excellence. A successful candidate will have prior experience as an Accountant and will be fully conversant in the latest accounting software packages.

Accounting Responsibilities:

  • Experienced with full cycle accounting using multi-currency
  • A/P, A/R
  • GST, PST, WCB reconciling/reporting/filing
  • Prepare international wires
  • Cash flow reporting
  • Account collections
  • Manage the company's bank accounts
  • Bank reconcilliations
  • Manage payroll (Ceridian)
  • Manage moorage accounts and billings
  • Manage cash flow
  • Prepare custom reports
  • M/E and Y/E reports, statements and adjustments

Administration Responsibilities:

  • Manage the supply chain for ordering, transportation and importation of new vessels from European manufacturers
  • Creating, maintaining and updating costing and retail pricelists. This is a regular

duty. You must have intermediate to pro comfort with Excel

  • Manage brokerage sale transactions
  • Prepare monthly dealership insurance reports
  • Manage company benefits plan
  • Mail, courier and shipping
  • Answer phones
  • Order office supplies
  • Maintain office filing systems

Computer and Software experience

  • Sage 50 – intermediate/pro
  • Excel 2019 – intermediate/pro
  • Word 2019 - intermediate
  • Windows 11
  • Type 60+ WPM

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
