Life Church White Rock is recruiting an intern-level summer Children & Youth Worker for a 9-week contract this summer of 2023. This Internship is part of the Canada Summer Jobs program.
The main duties and responsibilities will be to:
- Work alongside the Life Kids Coordinator to prepare for and help run our Summer VBS, which is a summer kids day camp that runs every morning from Monday, July 10 to Friday, July 14.
- Plan, organize and facilitate a weekly youth and/or Life Kids family summer hang out (ie. at Life Center, a local park etc.)
- Help with prepping and facilitating Life Kids on Sunday mornings.
- Help with the church social media platforms.
- Work alongside the Life Kids Coordinator on special kids ministry projects
Many other enjoyable opportunities are available within the organization, and work responsibilities will be adjusted to suit the abilities and talents of the student.
The days and hours for this position are flexible except for a required shift starting at 8:30 a.m. on Sundays. It entails a total of 31 hours per week for 9 weeks commencing May 29, 2023 and/or July 3, 2023.
Education, Training, and Experience
- Minimum Grade 12, Christian College or University preferred. (Includes Institute of Youth Leadership, Pastoral Leadership.
- Ability and/or experience to participate in a church platform ministry, Special Events training, or strong computer/web skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $15.65-$16.75 per hour
