What We’re Looking For:

As our Wood Finisher based at our Vines & Rebar location in Armstrong, B.C., your attention to detail, extensive finishing knowledge, and creativity will result in premium outcomes working on high end millwork and furniture.

What You'll Do:

Project Preparation

• Prepare samples for projects
• Prepare parts for paint shop (sanding, masking, etc.)
• Prepare stains/colored paints for paint shop

Everyday Duties

• Create and record accurate color recipes
• Maintain inventory of color supplies
• Pick up supplies as needed & storing extra supplies
• Performs related duties as assigned

Final Product Steps

· Inspect projects before and after applying finish to make sure it is up to standard

· Set up and operate finishing machines or finish furniture by hand

What You Have:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience
• Ability to see and identify colors correctly
• Knowledge of wood veneers/species
• Knowledge of different kinds of stains (NGR, pigmented, oil, etc) and finishes (lacquers, polyurethanes, paints, wax, etc.)
