St. James Volkswagen is looking for an experienced full time Vehicle Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team! You will be responsible for acquiring/purchasing used car inventory from Third Parties. Your Day to Day
- Identify, evaluate, & acquire vehicles at high-volume daily from Online auctions, fleet providers & dealerships
- Manage inventory of vehicles purchased for resale
- Analyze inventory profitability, sales volume, & new sources of vehicle supply
- Monitor wholesale trends in the automotive market in Canada
- Maintain accurate daily/weekly/monthly & on demand reporting that reflects activities associated with wholesale buying
- Travels as needed to buying events including weekly auctions, if necessary
What You Bring to the Table
- Automotive wholesale and/or used vehicle sales experience preferred
- Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies
- Knowledge of & desire to learn federal/provincial/local laws that govern wholesale/retail automobile sales & ensures wholesale program is compliant
- Valid Driver’s License & a safe driving record is required
