WHAT ON EARTH IS DECIEM?

Known as “The Abnormal Beauty Company”, DECIEM is the parent company of The Ordinary, NIOD, Avestan, and other beauty brands & is an industry disruptor with a science first approach to innovation. DECIEM was Co-Founded in 2013 by the late Brandon Truaxe, a visionary who set out to change the beauty industry through authenticity and transparency. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a transportation associate to help manage the hauling of our various components.

This position is a 6-month contract position based out of our Caterpillar distribution facility in Mississauga.

WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

• Support the Transportation Manager in coordinating the transport and storage of products and materials
• Responsible for preparing shipments, communicating with clients and carriers, and tracking shipments
• Must maintain shipment records and ensure that shipments to retailers are sent on time according to schedule, tracked, and arrive safely at the destination, by providing timely and accurate paperwork as required for shipping
• Collaborate with warehouse team to ensure the product is sent to retailers and other distribution centers on time and accurately
• Tracks shipments to ensure arrival. Investigate, record, and track discrepancies when needed
• Create paperwork for shipping as required by the type of shipment (customs declarations, shipping manifest, packing slips)
• Manage paperwork database in an organized fashion to ensure they can be easily accessed if an issue arises
• Ensure standards for quality and health and safety are met
• Assist in maintaining warehouse standards of cleanliness and organization and ensure tidiness standards are always respected and maintained
• Ensure compliance with warehouse policies and procedures (e.g. shipments, safety standards, stocking, labeling)

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

• Attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, ability to navigate between several modules/programs
• Effective time management and communication skills
• Relevant education OR equivalent work experience in warehouse and logistics is an asset
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word etc.
