Working to promote Imaging excellence, quality patient/client-centred care and high professional standards, the Registered Technologist (MRT (R) will be responsible for the patient assessment, exam completion, documentation and evaluation of images. The objective of the Registered Technologist is to provide safe and competent exams through the application of imaging knowledge, the technical aspects of professional practice and the demonstration of compassion, professionalism and respect. This position will rotate through Fort Erie Site.

QUALIFICATIONS:
o Graduate of an accredited Medical Radiation Technology Program in Radiology.
o Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario in Radiology M.R.T.(R).
o Currently performing all aspects of CT, including IV set-up, contrast administration and post-processing.
o Currently enrolled in or have completed a professional development program in CT and/or cross sectional anatomy course.
o Current BCLS certification.
o Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the production and assessment all diagnostic X-Ray and CT images.
o Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development.
o Applies knowledge, skills, judgment and competencies required for safe, independent and inter-disciplinary practice by meeting medical radiation practice standards as outlined by the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario.
o Applies Niagara Health values and professional practice standards to patient/client care and service.
o Integrates reflection, critical thinking, education and relevant practical experience in problem solving.
o Working knowledge of Hospital and Diagnostic Imaging Information and Imaging Systems and other related computer systems.
o Consistent and regular attendance required.
o Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset.
o Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
