As the Technical Test Lead, you will be responsible for technical aspects including understanding the integration requirements specifications, test planning, design, development, and execution of scripts. The lead will be responsible for ensuring the end-to-end testing is adequate to support production rollout readiness and transition into operations. That, all integrations conform to requirements by developing and executing test plans, reporting and analyzing any defects or issues, formulating and implementing various technical testing strategies. The successful candidate will work closely with various integration systems vendors, third parties and project teams to analyze technical specifications, setup and maintenance of test data required for integration testing, and perform integration testing based on business requirements. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the product meets the technical and business requirements.

The ideal candidate must be able to understand, interpret and test the integration business requirements, and provide accurate and comprehensive feedback to the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage, lead, and test the various integration systems to meet the technical and business requirements.
  • Develop plan and approach for testing instances and manage the technical configurations required for testing, interfaces, and test data during a recurring set of test cycles.
  • Responsible for developing complex SQL queries to test the database features via tools like TOAD/MySQL.
  • Ensure End to End testing is adequate to support production rollout readiness and transition into Operations, that all integrations conform to requirements by developing and executing test plans, reporting, and analyzing any defects or issues.
  • Manage & create the test approach, test data for cross functional and integration testing, along with identification and base lining the test processes and maintaining the test environments.
  • Lead the defect triage meetings to identify the impact of defects to the technical and business requirements, and work with integration teams to resolve outstanding issues and defects.
  • Test Planning and execution for vendor interfaces related to the ecosystem system workflows & integrations.
  • Create and execute manual and automated test scripts using scripting and programming languages.
  • Define test cases and data mappings using development documentation and requirements.
  • Analyzing technical specifications, setting up and maintenance of respective test data required for integration testing.
  • Plan and execute the tests in collaboration with different vendors, and teams, reporting and triaging of defects.
  • Support and perform initial troubleshooting/triage of interface technologies during or after testing.
  • Recognize, analyze, and recommend process improvement opportunities.
  • Provide technical leadership to testing team that include leading the execution of integration and test activities, problem resolution and verifying that the delivered products meet all program and customer requirements.
  • Responsible for Working with 3rd party test tool vendors to plan and execute the functional/Integration test approach, framework and tools developed in accordance with specifications.
  • Construct required test and meta data (e.g., CSV, XML, JSON, PDF, etc.) for use within test cases.
  • Configure test environment, including data integration platforms, and execute associated test cases.
  • Defining the test activities, design, and execution of test cases, prioritizing testing activities and carrying out test execution.
  • Formulating and implementing various technical testing strategies.
  • Develop technical testing solutions for MuleSoft API services, based on AWS cloud systems, using Postman for API testing, MySQL for database testing.
Nice to Have Requirements:
  • Knowledge and experience working specifically in the retail banking and/or credit union space
  • ISTQB Certified Foundation Level with Agile extension (and/or other industry recognized testing certifications)
  • Experience with (2+) industry standard automation test tools (ex. Selenium, SoapUI, Micro Focus UFT, ParaSoft SOATest)
  • Experience in testing API/Web Services
  • Experience in cloud testing using AWS or Azure
Required Experience:
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in Software Testing using ETL, Automation and Manual Testing techniques using with expertise in data migration, data warehousing and reporting
  • Experience with industry standard test/team management tools (ex. JIRA, Micro Focus ALM)
  • Experience writing SQL scripts
  • Proficient in End-End Testing: including Test Planning, Test Designing, Test Execution, and Defect Reporting
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact directly with Client Stakeholders, Senior Management, and/or our technology partners
  • Strong technical background for testing AWS or similar cloud-based systems, using tools such as Postman, experience in working on “MuleSoft's Anypoint Platform” or similar platforms.
Required Level of Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science OR Diploma in IT with equivalent IT experience
