A breath of fresh air summer experience less than an hour north of Toronto in Keswick. Camp Katonim provides the benefits of waterfront overnight camp, with close proximity to the city along with evenings/weekends off.

Our lakefront activities include water-skiing, swimming, sailing, and numerous paddle sports. The camp summer program operates for 8 weeks (July and August) from 9am-4pm Monday through Friday.

Waterfront responsibilities:

• Safety of the waterfront area whenever staff or campers are present
• Ensuring all safety protocols are being met and followed at all times
• Managing waterfront staff
• Overseeing safe operation and storage of waterfront equipment
• Programming and supervision of waterfront activities

This position offers an optional on-site residence (private room) from Sunday evening to Friday afternoon. Alternatively, this staff member may choose to commute to/from camp on weekdays either via personal transportation or on our camp bus traveling to/from North York and Thornhill.

Qualifications:

• Applicants must be 19 years of age by December 31, 2023
• Bronze Cross and NLS Waterfront certification required, Instructors preferred.
• Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC) required
• Powerboat and sailing experience preferred.
