We provide customized and innovative monitoring solutions and have all the resources required to complete the various phases of instrument installation and commissioning throughout construction. We are seeking an energetic person for the role of Monitoring Surveyor to be based at our Toronto office located in Mississauga, GTA.

Responsibilities:

In this hands-on position you will be responsible for:

  • Performing monitoring surveys, including layout and controls, utilize software and survey systems in an effort to manage the project surveying and monitoring programs
  • Quality control, quantity tracking, scheduling, and working through all aspects of the specifications, scheduling, and overall what the job involves
  • Geotechnical instrumentation projects, to plan, set-up and conduct surveys for instrumentation monitoring of soil movement for site condition and existing structures, including survey data processing, report preparation, and other related scope of work.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified candidates must have 5 years of experience in Construction Surveying and monitoring of the projects
  • Ability to coordinate with client and other subcontractors to plan surveying needs
  • Experience using field surveying equipment (i.e. Total Station)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and willing to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Self-starter and with a willingness to learn and experience
  • The ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Licensed Surveyor is a plus but not mandatory
  • Having experience in Pre/Post Construction Condition Survey is an asset
  • Preferred Candidates will be those living in the Greater Toronto Area
  • A valid Ontario driver’s license with access to a vehicle
