Now Hiring Superintendent - Airport Operations and Maintenance

This position is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations, maintenance and security of the Airport, while ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and security standards and regulations. Reporting to the Airport - Manager, this position provides leadership to the Airport Maintenance Specialists, and plays a key role in stakeholder relations as well as developing and supporting the Airport strategic plans and direction related to infrastructure, business development and airline attraction and retention.

• Thorough knowledge of Airport regulations and standards, recommended practices, operations and legislative requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, customer service and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work with considerable independence, exercise sound judgement and integrate resources in order to complete tasks.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to express Ideas on technical subjects clearly and effectively, both orally and In writing.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a two year diploma In Airport or Aviation Management from a recognized post-secondary institution.
• Five (5) years directly related experience in airport operations with two (2) years of supervisory experience.
• Successful completion or ability to obtain Airside Vehicle Operators Permit of Restricted Radio Operators Certificate - Aeronautical.
• Possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license, with an acceptable driving record.
• An equivalent combination of management approved training and experience may be considered.
