What is the intent of this process?

We are seeking individuals with disabilities to fill several positions within our organization.

The Employment Equity Act (EEA) (external link) defines a person with a disability as having a long-term or recurring physical, mental, sensory, psychiatric or learning impairment and :

  • considers that he/she has a disadvantaged in employment by reason of that impairment;
  • believes that he or she is likely to be classified as such by his or her employer or potential employers because of such an impairment.

These impairments may affect or include:

  • coordination or dexterity ;
  • mobility;
  • blindness or partial vision;
  • deafness or hearing loss;
  • speech and language impairments;
  • learning disabilities;
  • mental health;
  • chronic illness;
  • other.

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) administers tax laws for the Government of Canada and for most provinces and territories, and administers various social and economic benefits and incentive programs delivered through the tax system.

What are the opportunities offered?

We are currently looking for talented students to fill various interesting and stimulating full-time and part-time positions in several areas such as:

  • Accounting, verification, finances, taxation and statistics
  • Business Administration
  • Human Resources
  • Revenue Collections
  • Call centre
  • Information Technology
  • Communications
  • Office Technology

The tasks vary according to the position. The key functions that students can hold include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Communicating with various internal and external clients, and providing information or advice depending on the position.
  • Obtaining and analyzing financial or non-financial information.
  • Explaining various social programs administered by the CRA.
  • Preparing work documents, letters and reports to support the work carried out.
  • Working on tax files with sectors such as Criminal Investigations, Verification, International, etc.

This staffing process could fill positions everywhere in Quebec. In the current situation, virtual work (teleworking) might be considered. Virtual reporting may be possible, if operational requirements permit.

When you apply to this staffing process, you are applying to an inventory for future vacancies across various program areas. As positions become available, candidates who meet the qualifications may be contacted for further assessment. The job duties will vary depending on the position you are hired for.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, public health recommendations and restrictions are in place across Canada and may change as circumstances evolve. You may be required to temporarily work remotely (e.g. from home). Further information will be provided if you are selected for the position.

    • SU-03 (Bachelor's): $22.29

  • Opportunities for full-time employment in the federal public service up to five years after post-secondary graduation through student bridging

Any person residing in Canada or any Canadian citizen residing abroad who meets the following criteria:

Self-identification

We are currently looking for talented students with disabilities who live and/or go to school in one of Quebec's administrative regions to fill a variety of stimulating and rewarding positions in several fields. In addition, you must meet the minimum age required by the province where the job is located.

You will only be accepted in this staffing process if you self-identify as a person with a disability.

Education – Essential requirement

For Summer 2023 positions:

  • are enrolled in full-time* studies at a recognized post-secondary institution during Summer 2023 or Fall 2023.

For Fall 2022, Winter 2023 and Fall 2023 positions:

  • are enrolled in full-time studies* at a recognized post-secondary institution during that specific semester
  • Students enrolled in studies on a part-time basis due to a disability that is recognized by their academic institution are also eligible to apply.

No experience is required to apply. However, you must attach your curriculum vitae to your application by following this 2-step process:

What is the next step?
