Great opportunity to work at a Fortune 500 IT Consulting company as a Software Project Manager, on a project for Ontario's largest energy company. This is a remote position that has a great chance of being extended long term.
Job Description:
manage a variety of software projects being developed at Canada's largest Energy company- direct internal team resources
- manage project scope / budget / timeline / deliverables
In-depth knowledge and practice of Project Management principles including agile methodologies.
Current PMP certification is preferred.
Scrum/Agile certification and at least 2 years managing projects are required.
Bachelor’s degree. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
Five or more years of Project Management experience in Information Technology, preferably managing Infrastructure based projects or web-based application development and cross-platform integration projects
Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle;
Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, presentation and interpersonal skills;
High-level understanding of infrastructure components and/or software architecture and technologies to provide context to the management of projects. technical background is preferred.
Fluency in basic project accounting and tracking project costs.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft tools (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and at least one of the following: Jira, Rally, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, or similar tools
