NASS is urgently hiring Shipper/Material handler for a plastic Manufacturing company in Orangeville.
Job Title : Shipper/Material Handler
Pay : $ 20 to $22/ hour
Shift Requirements :
- Day Shift : 06 am to 2.30 pm & Afternoon Shift : 02.30 pm to 11 pm ( Rotational every two weeks)
- 1 Saturday day shift every 4 – 5 weeks
Job Duties :
- Picking, packaging, wrapping, and strapping of customer orders
- Receiving of incoming goods
- Preparation of shipping documents
- Inventory and cycle counts
- General warehouse activities – cleaning and organizing of warehouse
- Communicating with other shippers in department on different shifts
- Maintain housekeeping at an acceptable and organized level. This includes all workstations, floors, cleaning of tools and equipment, organizing and stacking of material
- Ensure all work is performed according to procedures and work instructions
- Understand and follow all Health and Safety concerns
- Understand, follow, and enforce all Quality System procedures and work instructions
Job Requirements :
- 2-3 years of shipping experience in a manufacturing setting
- Experience in packaging, palletizing and skid wrapping
- Forklift experience/license ( Counterbalance)
- Basic computer skills with some data entry experience, use of hand held scanners
- Possess manual dexterity, ability to lift > 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow workflow and schedules
- Above team average attendance
