Sewer, Pipelayer and Watermain Labourer

Description:

A key member within the site services team at 214 Carson Co. Inc. the Sewer, Pipelayer and Watermain Labourer is primarily responsible for assembling, connecting, and constructing pipe systems for storm sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains, while assisting in the planning and managing of logistics and inventory of necessary materials. Located : 45 minutes east of London.

Construction Site Preparation

The experienced Sewer, Pipelayer and Watermain Labourer will work in collaboration with the Supervisor, Site Services, assist in planning of site work schedules and ensure all materials have been ordered, received, controlled and monitored throughout a project’s execution.

General

a. Storm water and sanitary sewer infrastructure planning and install

b. Aligning, positioning and connection of pipes

c. Read plans and survey sheets, grading and staking of sites utilizing GPS and lasers

d. Material rigging and lifting of heavy equipment

e. Ensure compliance with all 214 Carson Co. Inc. health, safety and quality standards while maximizing productivity of work at sites with optimal equipment utilization and uptime;

f. Ensure company material and work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner consistent with asset management and service management standards to be established;

Other Site Support

a. Assist in the execution of other construction projects, support labour and equipment requirements and material deliveries and timing to ensure completion of job(s) as requested;

b. Assist with seasonal maintenance and execution throughout the season when available;

c. Complete and submit all required paperwork on a timely basis including, but not limited to, employee time sheets, equipment daily inspection forms, and time and materials billing summaries;

Qualifications

To be considered for this position you will possess the following skills, attributes and abilities:

- 2-3 years of pipelaying experience preferably within the construction and/or underground infrastructure sector

- Heavy equipment operation experience desireable

- Must possess a valid driver’s license with Class G and/or AZ (with clean abstract) desirable

- Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and physically fit to perform in all conditions

- Job flexibility (willing to work beyond boundaries)
