The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Mortgage Broker Assistant to support our team of mortgage brokers. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. As a Mortgage Broker Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the loan application process and managing customer relationships to ensure a seamless experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall administration and underwriting of deals from start to finish
  • Requesting, collecting, reviewing, and managing documents from various clients
  • Maintain files and check that they are fully compliant, organized, orderly, and contain all
  • necessary documentation
  • Evaluating client’s income, credit history, tax information and bank statements for
  • financial status
  • Providing application summary and submission notes
  • Packaging & delivering all relevant customer information & documentation to our
  • financial partners (lenders) to expedite the pre-approval/approval process
  • Prepare compliance documents and client information packages with the necessary
  • information
  • Communicate and liaise between all parties involved in the completion of each mortgage
  • transaction
  • Ensuring clients inquiries are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Remaining professional when dealing with clients and co-workers
  • Being comfortable receiving and making calls to lenders and potential clients
  • Must be able to keep current with changes with the industry and lenders
  • Anticipate & collaborate with underwriters and the requirements for conditions
  • Manage multiple client files and ensure each file is handled in a timely manner

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2+ years experience working as a mortgage broker assistant
  • Sub Mortgage Broker license is an asset but not a requirement
  • Post-Secondary Education preferred
  • Self-motivated with excellent relationship building skills
  • Being resourceful to collect and present information
  • Being proactive and planning ahead
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Works well under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexible, adaptable, and keen ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Familiar with Microsoft Word & Excel (basic skills)

Compensation
