SECONDARY MATH TEACHER
(1.0 FTE CONTINUING)
The Maple Ridge - Pitt Meadows School District (SD42) is looking for a qualified Secondary Math, Marketing, Art and Leadership Teacher, for a 1.0 FTE Continuing position effective February 1, 2023 at Maple Ridge Secondary School. This semester, this position will work 3.5 blocks of a 4 block rotation and the courses include Math 8, Math A&W 10 and 11 and Leadership alternating with Prep every other day, outside of the timetable. In September, this will be a 1.0 FTE position including Math A&W 10 and 11, Art 8 and 9, Marketing 11/12 and Leadership 11/12. SD42 provides quality education to over 15,000 students and is committed to educational choice and an inclusive, local approach to special education, and has developed numerous skilled trades training partnerships with colleges and universities.
The applicant will possess:
- Certification with the Teacher Regulation Branch,
- Secondary Education Degree from a recognized university with a major in Mathematics,
- Qualification for teaching Art education and a background in business would be an asset.
