The Rust Wine Company is a new vinous project born of the dirt and inspired by rejuvenation.
Our wines are sourced from five exceptional vineyards planted as far back as 1973. Located in the appellations of Okanagan Valley, Similkameen Valley, Okanagan Falls, and the Golden Mile Bench, we seek to showcase these distinct terroirs with small lot, single vineyard wines of purpose.
About the job:
We are seeking a SalesManager who is highly motivated, ambitious, and possesses considerable experience to join our rapidly expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership in achieving performance targets, overseeing business development, and ensuring profitability goals are met.
Job Duties:
· Set, implement, and accomplish annual sales and accounts sold objectives
· Develop, implement, and execute sales programs and pricing strategies
· Make strategic decisions regarding new product lines
· Arrange wine deliveries for special events
· Establish and enforce merchandising and distribution standards through our network of distributors
· Develop and maintain a database of various wine tasting results
· Conduct mid-year and annual planning and review meetings with all distributors
· Attend sales meetings and training sessions to stay up to date on industry trends
· Analyze sales data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas of risk
· Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, operations, and finance to achieve company objectives
· Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on sales performance and progress towards goals
· Supervise, organize, train, and manage staff
· Perform any other duties as required
Skills and Qualifications
· 5+ years in sales management
· Excellent communication, interpersonal and organization skills
· Bachelor’s degree
· Independent, self-starter to develop new business while growing our existing portfolio
