Westhill Innovation is a leading designer and supplier of environmentally sustainable composite systems for the Commercial Transportation Industry. We are seeking a Renewable Energy Engineering Specialist (Co-op) who has exceptional engineering interest in electrical, and mechanical engineering. This candidate will report to the Renewable Energy Product Manager.

Prior experience in the energy business with a specialty in solar, and battery systems is a bonus. In this role you will be joining a fantastic team of professionals where dedication and commitment are key qualities.

If you are currently enrolled in electrical or mechanical engineering program, with possibly an intertest in the solar mobility solutions or EV space and are looking to make a positive change in the solar mobility industry, please apply. The objective is to work as part of the engineering design and R&D team to achieve commercialization targets as set out by the company.

Job Duties:

• Assisting engineering team in evaluating customer's needs
• Help in required design installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance activities on unique solar, battery and inverter systems
• Support the ongoing development and improvement of the Westhill Design, Operations, Sales and Service team
• Comprehension of technical reports and drawing related to their field
• Must be able to work at heights, climb ladders and stairs, lift heavy objects and work on your feet for long periods of time; bending, stooping, crawling, in confined spaces, working in limited illuminated areas, working in dusty conditions is required

Position Requirements:Requirements:

• Modelling and Design with engineering tools (Solidworks, MathCAD, eTAP, PVSyst)
• Co-ordinate designs with a multi-disciplinary team including structural, mechanical, electrical, process, and instrumentation and controls drawings
• Technical communication and report writing skills
• Knowledge of different types of industrial tools and machines, i.e. refrigerators, testing equipment, etc.
• Previous experience or knowledge with electrical/mechanical/pneumatic diagrams
• Introductory knowledge of health and safety policies and procedure
• Basic understanding of different mechanical/electrical parts and their materials
• Solid modeling and drafting advanced experience (preferably SolidWorks)

Job Types: Full-time, Internship / Co-op

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
