Registered Nurse - Labour and Delivery Job at Power Staffing Solutions
Job Purpose:
To provide patient care with the use of a competent nursing process in the hospital setting. Manage the healthcare and nursing team in providing safe practice and competence.
Hospital Sites: Port Perry, Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa, Bowmanville
Units available: Labour and Delivery, Medical/Surge, Mental Health, Cardiology
Qualifications:
· Registered Nurse Diploma from an accredited college.
· Registration with the CNO.
· Proof of BCLS.
· Experience and training in the ED is a must.
· Commitment to maintaining practice standards outlined by the CNO.
· Provide Nursing assessment, contribute to care plan development, goal-oriented treatment interventions, patient and family education, and support to address medical, cognitive, emotional, and self-care needs.
· Proven ability to assume leadership/charge nurse role. Motivation to demonstrate patient assessment, patient education, and related clinical specialties.
· Excellent assessment skills and knowledge of care plans.
· Effective problem-solving skills, prioritization, time management, and mentoring skills.
· Excellent written and verbal skills.
· Promote a family-centered care environment.
· Demonstrate ability to perform appropriately in emergency situations.
· Ability to lift, turn, and transfer patients manually with the assistance of mechanical aids.
Must haves:
TB test (within 6 months to 1 year)
Vulnerable Sector Screening (Within a year)
Valid CPR/ACLS/BLS certificate
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $45.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
Supplemental pay types:
- Overtime pay
