We are seeking compassionate and enthusiastic Registered Practical Nurses to join our organization. You will be an integral part of a collaborative and inter-disciplinary team focused on delivering exemplary care to our clients.

Job Description

Practice as Registered Practical Nurse within the Standards of Nursing Practice as developed by the College of Nursing of Ontario in providing direct and indirect nursing care as required in collaboration with other health care workers.

Duties will include:

• Performing personal care
• Completing evidence-based resident assessments related to responsive behavior including but not limited to, CAM, DOS, GDS, Cohen, Pain, bowel, etc
• Observing and reporting changes in residents' physical and emotional conditions
• Developing care plans
• Coaching staff on caring for residents with responsive behavior
• Implementing case strategies and overseeing the provision of care
• Documentation meeting CNO standards, medication requirements, and wound care
• Communicating with residents, families, and visitors and resolving concerns

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an approved Registered Practical Nurse Program
• Holder of a current College of Nurses of Ontario certificate in Competency
• Holder of a medication certificate for RPNs
• Demonstrated satisfactory experience as an RPN
• Good physical and mental health
• Demonstrates strong positive personal and interpersonal communication skills, both verbally and written. Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Preference will be given to candidates with a good attendance record and those with demonstrated professional educational development.
