The Yorkton Tribal Council is seeking one (1) highly motivated individual for the position of Receptionist in the Administration Department. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Receptionist position is responsible for supporting the YTC by answering the main switchboard/ King Street switchboard, taking messages for staff while away from the office, and greeting visitors as well as other administrative duties such as ordering supplies, photocopying, faxing, and filing.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Receptionist position is responsible for the following:

Duties but not limited to:

· Answer phones and transfer calls to correct line

· Direct callers to appropriate individuals

· Record messages for staff members while outside the office

· Open, log and stamp incoming mail when required

· Receive, log and stamp incoming faxes when required

· Sort mail and distribute to appropriate individuals when required

· Log, stamp and drop outgoing mail in mailbox when required

· Order supplies for political office and administration when required

· Offering visitors to hand sanitize while entering

· Assist with meeting kits and binders as required

· Logging visitors everyday

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Grade 12 and a certificate or diploma in office administration or an equivalent combination of experience and training is preferred. Knowledge of and experience with office procedures and office equipment is preferred.
  • Must be willing to travel and must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle and must submit a current Criminal Record Check.

· Work irregular or extended hours to complete special requests and/or projects

· Must manage a number of people, priorities and projects at one time, and may have to respond to emergency or crisis situations

  • The environment requires excellent organizational, time management and stress management skills

Salary: To Commensurate with qualifications. Combination of education, relevant training and work experience will be considered.
