LandSolutions is looking to expand their talent pipeline in the Greater Toronto Area to service our clients by supporting the Talent Sourcing team in our Asset Management Division.


The Role

The Real Estate Project Coordinator is responsible for the management and coordination of all projects in the delivery of maintenance of real estate properties in support of the company's strategy. The role administers all programs and liaises with all stakeholders in strategies and negotiations. We are looking for both Senior and Intermediate level candidates with the associated experience to support opportunities with our power and infrastructure clients.


Responsibilities

  • Grant new or renew existing rights (e.g., license, lease, easement, releases) to parties occupying company owned or easement properties, and land
  • Approve final terms of settlement, including reviewing and interpreting plans, drawings and surveys and negotiating, approving and executing all related contracts, administrative documents, authorizations etc
  • Manage transactions supporting the capital program, with continuance review of the portfolios
  • Provide real estate acquisition, taxation, management and disposal advice, guidance, and information to internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare Terms of Reference, negotiate compensation for approved services, and prepare agreements and cost estimates
  • Coordinate or prepare reports and estimates, budgets, documents or land use planning, marketing, development, disposal or other assessments

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in real estate, including industrial, commercial, residential, and rural real estate, appraisals, property law, real estate management, land use planning
  • An understanding of realty governance processes to ensure that transactions are conducted in a fair, open and transparent manner
  • Excellent communication skills, including presentation, verbal and written
  • Prior experience in preparing proposals and legal agreements
  • Experience in valuing and acquiring fee or easement real estate interests, granting rights, selling properties, interpreting associated drawings, plans and surveys
  • Prior experience in assessing real estate proposals, developing, and implementing effective transaction negotiation strategies and coordinating real estate transactions
  • Intermediate role requires 5 years prior experience in the above
  • Senior role requires a minimum of 8 years' experience in the above
