We have an opening for a Purchaser at our Edmonton location.

What you will do:

• Maintaining and balancing stock using Solar Eclipse (ERP) replenishment system within company guidelines.
• Analyzing trends in vendor pricing and sales activity to determine appropriate supplier (from an approved list) and correct timing of purchases using best practices.
• Ordering non-stock products as required.
• Resolving issues related to sales orders, transfers and purchase orders.
• Tracing requests for product with supplier.
• Reconciling physical on hand quantities through inventory adjustments.
• Reviewing inventory reports to return non-turning products to vendors.
• Working with management and sales staff to reduce clearance product.
• Making necessary adjustments to ensure proper inventory levels through product maintenance.
• Transferring required inventory from other branches with surplus.
• Participate in physical inventory counts
• Performing other duties as assigned.

About you:

• Familiarity with plumbing products
• Excellent computer knowledge
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Previous purchasing experience and understanding of Eclipse is considered an asset
