Manager of Property and Systems – Two Year Contract

(37.5 Hours/Week)

Starting Annual Salary is $71,643.00 ($36.74 hourly)

Eligibility for Benefits and Pension after 3 months may be discussed.

Regular travel to multiple locations within Lindsay, Peterborough, and Haliburton

Valid Driver’s license, Reliable Vehicle and clear Driver’s Abstract required.

Under the direction of the Director of Corporate Services, the Manager of Property and Systems will oversee and lead employees of the designated units to ensure efficient and effective maintenance and upkeep of assets, technology, and procurement across all 3 communities and its satellite locations.

Designated units of responsibility may include, but are not limited to:

· Developing and overseeing a comprehensive system for properties, vehicles and technology for regular inspections, life cycle planning, repairs, and replacement.

· Overseeing the maintenance of the inventory of assets and equipment, including property, fleet & Information Technology.

· Co-ordinating, responding to and managing emergencies related to property and assets ensuring safe, secure, and efficient responses in keeping with health and safety procedures, all legislative requirements and considering the needs of staff and people supported.

· In consultation with Directors and Managers co-ordinating a priority list of repairs and preventive maintenance items for each property

· Developing a preventative maintenance plan for all locations within the agency.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

· A degree/diploma in Property Management or equivalent

· A minimum 3 years’ experience in the field of Property Management or comparable experience.

· Criminal reference check with Vulnerable Sector Screening is required

· Demonstrated experience managing and leading people and programs, identifying and achieving corporate policies and objectives, and program/project management and evaluation.

· Possess the ability to manage short- and long-term priorities and objectives.

· Demonstrated skills and experience in problem solving and conflict resolution beyond conventional methods, championing and facilitating change.

· Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills and a respect for the diversity of opinions and perspectives.

· Strong communication skills and the ability to build confidence among peers.

· Experience in working with the Ontario Building Code and Fire code is an asset.

· Experience in working with a not-for-profit agency is an asset.
