As a Senior Project Manager within our Digital program you will be leading the delivery and implementation of Digital banking solutions, initially leading the Commercial banking project. Working within an Agile environment or a hybrid agile environment, you are accountable for planning, budget, resource management, managing vendors, monitoring, executive level reporting, effective coordination of the team, and management to achieve the projected goals. You will provide leadership and coaching support to the team.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead the overall execution and ensure successful project delivery meeting the required standard of quality.
  • Manages all aspects of the project lifecycle and works with matrix business, corporate and IT partners to oversee all phases of the project, and to ensure that related project processes are completed as required
  • Within the context of the assigned project, responsible for building and sustaining the day-to-day relationships and communications (including project briefings) with stakeholders at various levels of the organization, including executive level, as well as other internal and external resources.
  • Ensures end results are of the highest caliber with a clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefit. Ensures there is clear linkage between the business vision/context and the project scope and objectives.
  • Provide timely project reporting for senior management including project progress, issues and risks, solid action plans, resource and budget management, schedule, and Agile sprint progress reporting.
  • Chairs core team governance forums (e.g. Working Committees, key sprint ceremonies, Decision Forums) to review progress with key constituents.
  • Represents the interests of the project in various project governance forums.
  • Rigorously manages scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed timelines, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Defines and tracks project milestones and sprint plans while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall end to end delivery plan.
  • Involved with the planning and design of the solution and project
  • Anticipate potential issues and pitfalls and proactively plan to avoid these, ensure strong mitigation and action plans are created and executed.
  • Lead scrums, sprint review and planning meetings in a way that ensures full team engagement

What you'll have:

  • 10+ years' experience managing projects or involvement on financial services programs, working on projects in accordance with standard project management methodologies, Scaled Agile and best project management practices.
  • 3 years’ experience managing Agile projects to a fixed date
  • 5+ years prior work experience in the financial services industry
  • Background in Digital and mobile application Solutions
  • Good knowledge working with Jira boards (Features, Epics and stories) , confluences
  • Relationship management and consulting skills.
  • Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization effectively
  • Problem solver, is proactive in driving the project and required outcomes, has the ability to identify issues related to major software development projects and implementations in a heavily regulated industry, ideally Financial/banking services Industry.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, which brings clarity and precision when interacting with stakeholders or summarizing key outcomes to program team
  • Ability to proactively drive the completion of the project
  • Thorough understanding of Agile as well as Waterfall and Hybrid SDLC principles to support the delivery of complex technical solutions
  • Good working knowledge of leading scrums and of Agile processes.
  • Knowledge working with Jira boards (Features, Epics and stories) , confluence, MS Teams, RAID log management
  • Knowledge and experience working with organizational business processes; ideally in banking or other regulated industry.
  • A bachelor’s degree in science, management, or an IT leadership related discipline; specific consulting subject-matter expertise
  • Project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred
  • Scrum Master certification is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling projects
  • The ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems around people, process and technology

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $90,000.00 per year
