Job Description


Overview:

IBI Group is looking for a mid-level Project Manager who is a detail oriented, dynamic, problem solver that thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively deal with conflicting demands. This individual will be a member of the IBI Operations Management team and will support a variety of transportation projects that focus on change management and transformation, business process improvement, operational readiness, and stakeholder engagement. Initial focus of the role will be on a large-scale P3 transit project.

Most of the things you'll work on:

Lead Stakeholder Engagement activities and support project leads and key project staff in areas such as:

  • Project management and project and document controls support
  • Building and managing stakeholder relationships with key stakeholder groups including municipalities, provincial agencies, transit agencies, utilities etc.
  • Stakeholder engagement and communications support tasks including:
    • Develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans and tactical delivery plans
    • Create, populate, and manage core project documents and templates including, sign- off forms, meeting agendas and minutes
    • Communicate stakeholder requirements across multidisciplinary technical teams (client and internal project)
    • Monitor, analyze and action feedback from stakeholders
    • Track, coordinate and manage project tasks to support the clients and team lead
  • Plan and facilitate workshops, working groups, meetings and focus groups that may be delivered in person, virtual and/or using hybrid methods
  • Support change management activities on projects as they arise, including but not limited to, development of change management strategies, plans and tactics
  • Support operational readiness activities on projects as they arise

Qualifications


You'll need to have:

  • University Degree or combination of equivalent project coordination experience
  • PMP and/or CCMP or Prosci certifications advantageous
  • 3+ years’ experience in a change management, business process management, operational readiness and/or stakeholder engagement role; ideally working in a complex environment
  • Experience managing client relationships
  • Experience facilitating and managing virtual/hybrid meetings and using the relevant applications
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams etc. Previous experience with MS Project is advantageous
  • Previously work within a consulting environment is preferred
  • Knowledge of the transit, transportation, urban planning sector is advantageous
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision within a fast-paced, technical, project environment
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be flexible for work remotely, and on-site at IBI and client offices as needed
