Infrastructure Capital Projects Division provides planning and management of the Department's capital projects to ensure the strategic infrastructure network is optimized to support Manitoba’s economic growth, trade, and tourism. Develops, implements, and oversees the use of innovative project delivery and project financing methodologies.

Qualifications:
Essential:

  • Completion of post-secondary education degree or diploma in a related field such as construction project management, engineering, architecture and/or business administration. A suitable combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
  • Extensive experience in project coordination/management, delivery and execution in the field of design and construction.
  • Experience providing customer service to diverse internal and external stakeholders to effectively develop and maintain engagements to project process.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet competing deadlines.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Effective written communication skills including the ability to prepare and conduct presentations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and Office Suite.
Desired:
  • Experience with project management software including project scheduling.
  • Strong planning, research and analytical skills to identify and integrate relevant information to determine appropriate course of action/outcomes.

Duties:
The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the delivery and implementation of assigned capital projects from inception through to project completion. As a member of the project management team, the Project Coordinator will manage the control, distribution, processing and maintenance of all project documents including plans, tenders, work orders and change orders, detailed designs, etc. The Project Coordinator will assist in developing processes and systems to ensure documents are reviewed and processed quickly and meet Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure standards.
