Alamos Gold’s Island Gold is one of Canada’s highest grade and lowest cost gold mines. This underground operation is located just east of the town of Dubreuilville, 83 kilometres northeast of Wawa in Northern Ontario. Through ongoing exploration success, Island Gold’s Mineral Reserves and Resources have continued to grow in size and quality, and Alamos is now investing in a major expansion project which is expected to transform Island into one of the largest and most profitable mines in Canada with an 18-year mine life. Project Administrative Assistant – Phase 3
Reporting to the Project Controls Manager – Phase 3, the Project Administrative Assistant will provide assistance with project control functions; including management of invoices and project registers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive all project invoices, complete initial checks, and coding, and manage workflow for approvals through submission to accounts payable for payment.
- Maintain project registers for all project invoices.
- Maintain project contacts list.
- Input requisitions for project expenditures.
- Track project commitments to ensure close out of open commitments.
- Manage receipt of material packing slips and matching to material invoices.
- Develop and maintain project labour outlook for purposes of camp loading requirements.
- Create a group calendar for tracking of Team vacation and work offsite.
- Create, maintain, and update spreadsheets as required.
- Management of office supplies.
- Other tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Business Administration (or relevant experience in a projects / engineering environment).
- 1 – 2 years administrative work experience.
- Strong clerical, administrative and general office skills including attention to detail and rigor.
- Mining or heavy industrial construction experience considered an asset.
- Proficient use of Microsoft applications (mandatory).
- Excellent planning, leadership, organization and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate and interact within all levels of the organization.
- Ability and willingness to work different schedule on site based on project needs
The schedule for this position is based in a camp operation working on a rotational schedule with flights provided from Toronto, Sudbury and Rouyn-Noranda.
