PROGRAM INSTRUCTORS (Casual) Recreation Service Area Parks, Recreation and Property Management Department Under the general direction of the Supervisor of Recreational Facilities and the technical direction of the Program Coordinator, be responsible for leading a high quality instructional program providing excellence in customer service. Programs may include, but not limited to, floor hockey, indoor soccer, basketball, blastball (t-ball), volleyball, pickleball, badminton, learn to skate, power skating, and dance (hiphop, jazz, ballet and intro to dance). Experience working with children in a recreation environment, with a minimum of one (1) year experience recommended. A minimum of one (1) year experience playing or coaching a sport and/or dance.

Able to demonstrate good communication, high energy, enthusiasm and positive attitude. Excellent oral communication skills. Minimum age may apply. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Candidate will be required to successfully complete and submit a Criminal Record Search (if over 18 a vulnerable sector criminal record search).

Hours may vary depending upon the number of programs agreed to work. Duration of employment will depend on class and participant registration. Fall, Winter and Spring sessions run for a minimum of 6-8 weeks each. Applicant will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the program site(s).
