Staffmax Staffing and Recruiting is currently assisting our manufacturing client in Rosenort Manitoba with the hiring of Day Production Supervisors.

Location: Rosenort Manitoba (30-40 min from South Winnipeg)

Role: To lead the departmental production team in meeting and exceeding targets in productivity, safety, quality, lean, continuous improvement, and inventory management in one area of the plant.

The successful person will have leadership, performance management, and a passion for the development of people.

  • Positions are open due to double growth this past 2 years

Pay, perks and benefits:

  • $67-79,000 per year or ($28-33 /hour plus 1.5 overtime daily)

Hours:

  • Monday - Thursday 7-4:30 pm (included 1.5 OT to complete your paperwork)
  • Friday 7-3:30pm

Responsibilities

  • Supervision of 20-30 individuals
  • Review production plan and ensure all resources, machines, and personnel, are being utilized effectively
  • Track and record personnel and equipment OEE and required metrics to ensure all resources are being utilized effectively.
  • Identify and communicate safety and quality issues.
  • Ensure all company policies and operating procedures including quality and health & safety guidelines are always followed.
  • Perform weekly safety audits, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions, including completion of all required forms.
  • Perform regular quality audits to ensure all proper quality procedures are being followed. Ensure that all TQCs are being completed and follow-up with quality department and close out all NCR corrective actions
  • Engage all employees, new applicants in identifying employee skill levels and training/advancement opportunities
  • LEAN manufacturing. Ensure production processes are being followed within the specific department.(will train)
  • Continuous improvement
  • Sustain all manufacturing, quality, and safety processes.
  • Manage and implement LEAN tools such as 5S, Kanban/Pull, Continuous Flow, Value Steam Mapping (will train)
  • Conduct Lean audits and implement all Lean tools to maximize capacity and efficiency improvements. Close out all action items
  • Performance Management.
  • Regularly provide feedback on employee performance, including employee reviews.
  • Maintain accountability and record all metrics in your area
  • Inventory Management & Process Control
