Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position is responsible for the setup and operation of the Plasma Table, Mandrel Tube Bender and general metal preparation of raw parts for production.

  • Operating production machinery.
  • Maintaining production equipment.
  • General raw parts prep (grinding, deburring, drilling, # stamping).
  • General labour duties (clean up and wipe down of equipment).
  • Follow drawings to check the accuracy of the product.
  • Prioritize Production schedule, Kanban, and Priority orders.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Assertive self-starter and excellent work ethic
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • High energy level with ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • High School Diploma or college/vocational or technical training and experience an asset
  • General mechanic knowledge an asset
  • Capable of reading detailed assembly drawings
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment and possess good interpersonal skills.
  • Lean Manufacturing at a working level.
  • Valid Forklift certification is an asset.

Physical Requirements:

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds. Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors and work boots. Covid-19 Safety Plan in place.
