Picker Job Description

A picker is responsible for picking orders at the Courtney park facility. This includes such tasks as ensuring each part number and quantity is correct and presentable, monitoring inventory, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse. In some cases, the warehouse employee may also be responsible for managing the flow of materials within the warehouse, including organizing and staging items for shipments, and coordinating with other departments to ensure that materials are available when needed. The warehouse employee may also be required to assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving in the event of any issues or challenges within the warehouse.

Primary Job Functions:

• Monitor “To Be Picked” tray and pick all orders based on bin locations noted on paperwork o If no location available, check Visual to see where parts are located o If no inventory, let Inventory Planner know to place order
• Clean and wipe down parts before giving to Packer
• Sign and attach paperwork to the order and place on the packing table
• Alert Inventory Planner of low stock to be replenished
• If order is for pick up, attach paperwork to the order and put on Pick Up Shelf
• Put the second copy in “Ready For Pick Up” tray
• Assist with packing
• Assist customers at Parts Counter

Secondary Job Functions:

• Loading and unloading trucks, as well as operating equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Assist with order fulfillment, including packing orders for shipment
• Assist with organizing and staging items for shipment and coordinating with other departments to ensure that materials are available when needed
• Assist customers at Parts Counter

Required Strengths:

• Strong attention to detail, especially when dealing with part numbers
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements for warehouse operations
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Familiarity with computer programs and systems for inventory management and data analysis
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• A forklift certification and experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
