People and Culture Coordinator Job at Avidbots

As a PnC Coordinator, you will administer a full range of People and Culture (aka Human Resources) services and programs to Avidbots employees. The PnC Coordinator will participate in a broad range of PnC and office management activities. We are searching for an enthusiastic HR professional who is excited about providing support to our wonderful employee population.


This role reports to the PnC Manager. This is a hybrid role with an expectation of 1-2 days working in the office (Kitchener, ON) per week.


Day-to-Day Activities

  • Respond to employee inquiries about PnC-related topics
  • Lead the new hire onboarding processes by preparing offer packages, administering new hires in our HRIS, coordinating background checks, adding employees to our programs and systems, and facilitating our new hire orientation
  • Administer employee changes within our HRIS, benefits, and payroll systems
  • Maintain accurate data and files for employees within our HRIS (BambooHR), benefits platforms, and payroll tools, and conduct data entry tasks as needed
  • Draft employment verification letters and other letters as requested by employee
  • Send letters and track signatures for various PnC programs and initiatives
  • Be a champion of our office environment: Order coffee, snacks, supplies, ensure the space is organized and accessible, collect and distribute mail, etc.
  • Organize shipments of swag for new hires and employees
  • Track invoices and receipts for the PnC department
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for Avidbots guests
  • Other PnC duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 0-1 year(s) of experience in a Human Resources or Administrative role
  • Ability to prioritize and respond quickly to employee requests
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Reliable means of transportation to the office
  • Successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that may include: criminal/civil background checks and motor vehicle records search)

Nice to have

  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems and/or HR Information Systems (experience with BambooHR would be a plus)
  • Experience using ticketing systems
  • Office management experience
