ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process payroll for two dealerships and over 120 employees (union, non-union, salary, hourly and sales commission payroll).
• Maintain and update payroll records for new hires, status change, rate/salary change, and terminations
• Process manual cheques for terminations, missed payments, and pay discrepancies
• Provide information to employees and managers on payroll, tax, and benefits matters
• Reconciliation on payroll related transactions for multiple dealerships
• Perform posting on payroll matters and/with intercompany transactions
• Month-end and year-end close
• Other accounting/ month end duties including but not limited to posting daily factory invoices, daily funding postings as assigned by Regional Controller (full training will be provided on other daily/weekly/ month end tasks like various posting and reconciliations etc)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• 3 years+ of full cycle payroll experience
• Automotive experience using CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds and Payworks Software is an asset
• Good accounting knowledge
• Experienced with account reconciliations
• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to handle multiple duties and projects simultaneously
• Excellent interpersonal skills and work effectively with all levels of the organization
• Strong computer skills and intermediate proficiency with Excel
• Ability to process high volume of transactions efficiently
