Payables Accountant

The Opportunity:

At Canadian Natural, we are seeking a Payables Accountant. The primary responsibility of the position will be address book administrator is to manage the address book vendor setup and update process in EnterpriseOne for the purpose of initiating purchases, receiving invoices and issuing payments for all of Canadian operations. As the Payables Accountants, you will work on a busy and rewarding team with interactions with suppliers, as well as many different business areas within Canadian Natural, to ensure the most efficient management of supplier data, invoices and payments.

Key Accountabilities:

• Validate vendor requests for new setup and updates to existing information are accurate based on supporting documentation and in compliance with our corporate guidelines
• Setup and update all vendor information in EnterpriseOne
• Responsible for vendor maintenance to downstream applications like Maximo and OpenInvoice
• Analyze changes in corporate structure to identify downstream impacts to Maximo (our procure to pay application) and OpenInvoice (electronic invoice workflow application) and Ivalua (our contract management system)
• Management of all banking information for our vendors for electronic funds transfer
• Responsible for responding to cybersecurity issues with suppliers and with the Security Team
• Project work as assigned

• Shift: 5d2x/8 HR - 5 days on, 2 days off, working 8 hours per shift

Skills & Qualifications:

• 1 year of related oil and gas accounting experience preferable
• Post-Secondary education in Accounting
• Expertise in:
  • Data processing
  • Microsoft Excel
  • EnterpriseOne (E1) an asset
