What You Will Get To Do

The successful candidate will have a positive impact on our corporate culture by demonstrating the Town’s CARE core values (Collaborative, Accountable, Respectful, Engaged) through daily interactions with individuals at all levels of the organization, external contacts and elected officials.
By effectively building positive rapport and relationships both internally and externally, the successful candidate will help us achieve our mission that together we deliver services that make a difference in our community.Reporting to the Supervisor of Facilities (Arenas) and under the direction of the Working Foreman, the PT Attendant I - Maintenance is responsible for general maintenance services as identified through the Facility Maintenance Management System, including maintaining swimming pools and whirlpools in accordance with the Government of Ontario, Health Protection and Promotion Act, R.R.O. 1990 Regulation 565, Public Pools and, if required, maintain the waterslide according to TSSA guidelines for operating Amusement Devises;

  • assisting the public as required.

  • responsible for facility set-ups for upcoming bookings/events;

  • cleaning and maintenance of the facilities after bookings/events; and,

  • other duties as may be assigned.

You’re always happy to learn new things and to help build a working environment that encourages and cultivates new ideas. You foster a collaborative team environment among co-workers, and work well both independently and as part of a team.

What You Bring To Our Team

As the successful applicant, you must possess:

  • completion of a minimum Grade 12 education;

  • current certification in Emergency First Aid, C.P.R. “C”, and Automated External Defibrillator (AED);

  • a minimum of one (1) year related experience;

  • a current Certified Pool Operator’s Certificate (CPO);

  • a valid Class “G2” Driver’s Licence maintained in good standing; and

  • a valid criminal record check to work with vulnerable individuals.

What We Offer You

  • Salary: $21.75 – $24.22 per hour *
  • The Town is currently undertaking an extensive job evaluation review for PT CUPE positions.
