DETAILS:

  • Located in Lake Louise
  • Valid Canadian Work-Permit Required for International Applicants
  • Full-time position, average of 40 hours per week
  • First 90 days: $20.50 per hour + tips
  • After 90 days: $22.50 per hour + tips
  • $2/hr summer incentive bonus for every regular time hour worked between July 6th - October 11th (conditions apply)

JOB SUMMARY:

This is a Floor Manager position that requires you to serve tables while leading the day to day operations of the Outlet. You will be expected to portray a positive image of the Lake Louise Inn and demonstrate a high level of professionalism at all times. The position reports directly to the Food and Beverage Manager.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet guests upon arrival in a timely manner, serve your own tables and ensure smooth service throughout the Outlet
  • Ensure that all set-ups are correct and complete
  • Explain the menu specials and offer suggestions that complement the guest choice
  • Deliver, refill, and clear food and beverages in a timely manner while checking in with guests throughout their stay
  • Ensure that opening and closing procedures are adhered to, in line with company policy, taking account of security and the health & safety of people and property
  • Ensure proper disposal of garbage and recycling
  • Train, and lead Outlet Team in order to maintain the desired level of service and in line with the hotel’s service standards
  • Ensure that restaurant is maintained clean, safe and secure
  • Ensure the Guest Service Standards, Hotel Policies and Procedures are maintained at all times
  • Complete daily and weekly checklists are complete
  • Deliver guest’s bill and take payment
  • Follow Health and Safety rules and guidelines at all times
  • Set schedules and Prepare bi-weekly time and attendance information for Payroll processing
  • Conducts performance reviews, progressive discipline, and ongoing feedback & development with Department Members
  • Ensure that Department Members are fully aware of internal programs and promotions, selling strategies and are always informed with up-to-date information
  • Work in all areas of the restaurant, to ensure that best practice is maintained by the team and that any areas requiring improvement may be identified
  • Be accountable for all cash management throughout the restaurant
  • Oversee stock levels and ordering supplies
  • Resolve guest issues during stay while ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Hold regular meetings with Department Team Members
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager

REQUIRED QUALIFICAITONS:

  • Minimum 3 years in a food and beverage supervisory /management role
  • ProServe certification
  • Working knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Exceptional training, coaching, and team-building skills
  • Standard computer knowledge (Microsoft, Excel, Word, e-mail, POS systems).
  • A passion for customer service, and a strong attention to details
  • Energetic, flexible, hands-on individual with initiative and integrity
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, administration, and communication skills
  • Friendly and pleasant demeanor

Health & Safety Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all Health & Safety Policies/Procedures are being followed
  • Leading Guest/team Member Evacuation in emergency situations
  • Must be able to deal with irate, intoxicated guests
  • Trained to handle burglaries/thefts
