POSITION SUMMARY

Organizers at Point Blank are experts in digital acquisition, engagement and mobilization for advocacy, organizing and fundraising campaigns. You will be hands-on in the strategic development, planning, building, delivery and evaluation of a wide-range of digital and field campaigns and programs on behalf of our awesome clients. You already have experience with a variety of digital tools and platforms, but you’re eager to experiment and try new things. You also have an understanding of benchmarks, best practices and the mechanics of a successful digital and field campaigns.


This is a permanent full-time position open to all applicants permitted to work in Canada.

WHAT YOU DO

Organizing at Point Blank refers to any strategies or tactics our clients use to engage with their members, list or supporters to build power in service of a campaign goal. This could include email fundraising programs, engagement, recruitment, mobilization, GOTV, and capacity building like CRM setup, data migration and training.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop the organizing strategy for your assigned projects including drafting and taking ownership over planning documents, briefs and organizing calendars
  • Ensure the successful deployment and delivery of your organizing strategies and tactics, providing oversight and approval for all key organizing deliverables
  • Execute innovative digital organizing campaigns across email, organic social media, boosted/paid social media, texting, phone banking and more
  • Brief creative leads, including writers and designers, to support the development of impactful organizing deliverables
  • Measure the impact of organizing strategies and tactics, providing qualitative and quantitative reporting with strategic analysis and recommendations
  • Write campaign and impact reports
  • Identify innovative approaches, tools and tactics to help our clients win
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to team members
  • Deliver work that’s impactful, innovative and fun

Requirements


WHO YOU ARE

  • A community/digital organizer or campaigner with strong people skills and familiarity with the latest field and digital organizing strategies and tactics.
  • Have held a related role in a political, labour, non-profit, NGO or progressive organization; or have related experience in movement building and/or issue-based campaigning; or have comparable experience in an adjacent sector


MUST-HAVES

  • 1 - 5 years of experience in organizing or campaigning
  • Tech savvy - comfortable using and learning a wide range of systems, tools and platforms
  • Able to work occasional flexible hours on evenings and weekends as needed

ADDITIONAL ASSETS (NICE-TO-HAVES)

  • Professional fluency in French.
  • Experience working in tech, advertising, labour, electoral or political campaigns sectors.

Compensation

Salary is commensurate with experience and expected to be in the range of $68,000 - $72,500.
