INVISTA’s Maitland site located in Eastern Ontario is seeking a Millwright to work in a maintenance and system improvement capacity.
Maitland site produces DYTEK®A amine, a chemical intermediate used globally in products such as polyamide plastics, fibers, adhesives, curing agents, polyurethanes, vitamins, pharmaceuticals and epoxy resins.
What You Will Do In Your Role
Job Description and Responsibilities:
Ability to adhere to disciplined Routine Maintenance work processes and maintenance procedures.
Ability to work in all areas on site as part of a Maintenance Organization.
Ability to manage the work effectively in a day and/or shift assignment in a team environment
Provide assistance to Operations group as required
Demonstrated ability to interpret process and instrument diagrams and equipment manufacturer’s literature
Planning, leading, coordinating and training others
Good interpersonal skills to communicate and interact effectively with teams
Be trained and capable of operating a fork lift
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, locate, identify and diagnose malfunctions
Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills and interest in continuous learning and improvement.Flexibility to work weekends and overtime.
Must be able to work from heights on ladders, scaffold, stairs and roof tops.
Ability to safely lift at least 25 kilograms.
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
A current Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic Millwright
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mechanic Millwright in an industrial setting.
Be physically able to do the job and be medically cleared to work in all areas of the site
Demonstrated work performance that is consistent with a self-managing team environment
Minimum grade 12 – academic and/or Level 5 including math; plus physics or chemistry or another additive subject
Demonstrated high value for safety.
