you’ll make


We are looking for a self-starter who wants to join this fast-paced and expanding start-up division at Loblaw. As a Marketing Manager at Loblaw Media, you will translate product and business strategies into marketing and communications plans to help fuel awareness and growth of Loblaw Media. You will be a key driver of Loblaw Media’s external profile as a lead on industry outreach, client-events and other publicity activities. You will elevate Loblaw Media’s thought-leadership by building strong narratives leveraging market research and insights to drive stronger messaging supporting both sales and marketing objectives.


What
you’ll do

  • Project manage big marketing initiatives for Loblaw Media such as website redesigns, sales launches, client events, industry presentations, and/or major product launches, including ensuring all support materials, operational processes and sales tools are prepared.

  • Support in the work to develop and execute industry communications, client events, and outreach activities, which may include drafting creative briefs for press releases, developing key messages & content for industry B2B publicity initiatives (like webinars or panel discussions), and organizing logistics for industry events & development external sponsorship materials.

  • Liaise with the various LCL creative teams as needed to guide the creative process for mocks or other materials we use in our sales & marketing collateral.

  • Develop sales packages, sales collateral, B2B marketing communications or any other marketing materials under the strategic guidance of Marketing leadership, to ensure we present a compelling and professional-grade offering to the marketplace.

  • Source necessary data insights about LCL and our media products from data analytics, product, media operations, and insights teams to build compelling sales narratives for the Loblaw Media sales team.

  • Help to bring new sales opportunities & media products to market, working across internal teams to build the opportunity, construct the selling narratives, work out feasibility and craft the marketing and sales strategies. This may also mean the development of support tools for the sales team such as training materials, or campaign planning tools as needed to enable the effective sell-through and execution of media product lines.

  • Support the sales team in selling through opportunities launched to market including developing communications for the marketplace about Loblaw Media or its offerings and answering questions about our product lines and packages, as needed.

  • Act as lead in tracking marketing expenditures and reconciliation of the marketing budget.

  • Draft, review and manage any other marketing materials as necessary for Loblaw Media’s external communications.


Does this sound like you?

  • Minimum 3-5 years marketing experience, ideally B2B marketing experience or in a role related to media planning in a consumer marketing division.

  • Knowledge of advertising technology and/or media a definite bonus. Experience with consumer package goods and/or retail sectors would be an asset.

  • Adept marketing storyteller – someone who can translate data & insights into compelling marketing narratives in support of selling activities. Impeccable attention to detail particularly around copywriting is a must-have.

  • Experience with a wide variety of marketing communications including slideware and brochureware (both sales-centric and more technical documentation), event management, B2B social communications, whitepapers and other editorial products, email newsletters, managing website content and layouts, etc.

  • Strong proficiency building B2B marketing materials and marketing communications with mainstream design software (e.g. Photoshop) and business software (Office suite, especially PowerPoint). Working knowledge of Confluence, JIRA, Salesforce and other collaboration tools a plus

  • Self-starter that takes ownership of their projects from start to finish, with a strong ability to prioritize multiple projects.
