Securiguard is looking for Licensed Security Guards for an oil pipeline extending from Alberta to Burnaby BC. This is a great opportunity to work for a public company on a large infrastructure. What would you do: Safeguard oil and gas sites, ensure all assets are well protected. Since the risk involved in the oil and gas industry are extensive which include environmental and political problems, you would need to be robust and vigilant.

• Observe and report suspicious activity, and report security breaches
• Respond to incident/emergency situations and follow protocol
• Provide perimeter security coverage
• Provide access control and ensure there is no unauthorized access to the site
• Patrolling of designated areas in an outdoor environment
• Radio check ins and security report writing duties
• Provide a visual security presence - detecting and deterring unauthorized persons
• Coordinating and liaising with the police or emergency personnel when required
• Adhere to Securiguard' s core Values, Vision, Mission statement

Wages: $276.00 per day (based on a 12-hour shift). $19.27/hour reg pay, and $28.87/hour overtime pay, (8 hours of regular pay and 4 hours of overtime pay daily.)

Location: Burnaby & Coquitlam

Hours of work: 12-hour shifts, 4 days on 4 days off

Shift Hours: 18:00 - 06:00

What would you bring:

• Valid BC Security License
• Class 5 Driver's License and clean drivers abstract and claims history
• Previous security experience is an asset
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfort working in a wilderness setting (outside environment)
• Must be able to pass drug and alcohol test
