We distribute across Ontario and into several other Canadian provinces, operate three direct sales locations in Muskoka and have big plans for expansion!

We are currently looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our talented Finance and Administration team. Reporting to the Director, Finance & Administration this position will primarily complete clerical as well as accounts payable and receivable tasks. This position will start at 4 days per week (32 hours), with the possibility of expansion to 5 days per week.

The Role

  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable by processing and posting payments and invoices
  • Process payments for The Beer Store and the LCBO and apply retail payments from merchants, e-transfers and credit cards
  • Complete monthly labour rebilling and filing for HST WSIB, EHT, and promotional adjustments
  • Reconcile credit cards on a monthly basis
  • Post Accounts Payable invoices for the Brewpubs and complete weekly invoicing for Brewpub transfers as well as monthly Retail keg invoices
  • Complete quarterly WSIB and HST filing

Your Assets

  • Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • 1 year of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable or as a bookkeeper
  • Previous experience within consumer-packaged goods, beverage alcohol, manufacturing and/or foodservice is preferred, but not necessary!
  • Exceptional multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities at a time while maintaining a strong attention to detail
  • Previous experience with O’Beer, Telpay and QuickBooks is considered a strong asset
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with a commitment to building effective internal and external relationships
  • Results oriented and self-motivated with a "can do” attitude
  • A passion for craft beer (a big win for us, but not necessary!)

Working Conditions

  • Work outside your “normal” hours may be required in peak season
  • Extended periods of sitting and working on a computer
